Hi guys…I’m new to this so sorry if I didn’t post where I should. I’m going to need to be tutored in Spanish. I’m wanting to a webcam and microphone are necessary? (We don’t have these things) Thanks!

Cable Guy,

They are not necessary for either a student or a teacher, but they are a definite PLUS, as they allow you to see and hear the person who will be teaching you. A headset is very inexpensive these days as well. I picked mine up at a local computer store a while back for a mere $20.

Hi Cable Guy :) The headset is a real must so you can talk and listen without feedback. They are cheap though. Have a look at amazon.com for a rough guide on pricing. The web cam is optional though. You will be able to see the teacher which is the most important thing.

Hey Cable Guy,

Yah, I tried to do lessons without a headset and it was no good. Static and lots of freezing. If you can get a headset, you will enjoy your experience much more.
